OUTFIT PLANNING // Pt. 1

On most days I wake up and put on my go-to essentials, which consist of a pair of skinnies, slouchy tee (my favourite is J.Crew's vintage cotton t-shirt), and sneakers. However, sometimes, a girl's got to change things up right?! 

Since my style is pretty minimal and neutral, any change is usually a shape change or texture change.

The key for me is choosing one focus piece, whether it be this seasons "trendy" shoes, a wide-leg pant, bell-sleeve top or these big wooden hoop earrings I'm waiting for in the mail. After I pick that first piece, I like to stick with the classics. So depending on the weather, my schedule that day and my mood it is usually some sort of denim or leather. 

In this outfit I chose to focus on these suede boots with a wooden block heel that I absolutely adore! I paired it with vintage Levi shorts to contrast with something casual. Since these shorts are high waisted this structured cropped D-ring top worked perfectly that would pull the casual shorts & heeled boots together. Lastly, I paired it with my favourite minimal watch - I like to keep accessories simple, especially when I dress up a bit.
