Welcome to my first adventure with wedding makeup :)

I’ve partnered with Makeful to find out what kind of bride I am + to bring you this makeup tutorial of my favorite wedding makeup look so far!

I took this QUIZ and wasn’t surprised by the result to be honest, but you might be!

Turns out I’m a Rustic bride, but I would say I’m a rustic bride with modern tendencies. Trav and I are looking for a venue outdoors surrounded by lots of nature, but there are definitely some aspects of the wedding I want to be extremely clean, minimal and modern.

I’ve spent a few too many hours on the Makeful site dreaming up all of our wedding ideas. I’m hooked to watching all their DIY VIDEOS !! I’m learning how to make the cutest Wine Cork Place Card Holders, and Bridesmaid Proposal Boxes … I still need to ask my favorite ladies the big question!!

Another thing that I’ve been worrying about is getting in shape to wear the dress of my dreams … and to look fabbb-ulous in the wedding photos (obviously. :p) ! Makeful even has WELLNESS ARTICLES to help me achieve my dream wedding bod!!

One of the reasons we’ve been having such a time finding a venue is because so many of these venues are SO PRICEY!! So I’m always on the hunt to save money anywhere else, and the wedding décor is definitely a place to do that! I found THE CUTEST lighting tricks that I’m for sure considering for the big day! LONG STORY SHORT … Since we haven’t been able to find a venue yet and therefore can’t plan a lot of the wedding yet, I’m playing around with some beauty looks to go with my “rustic/modern bride” theme.

I’ve always been a minimal makeup look kind of gal, but I want to go the extra mile on my wedding day. Something that has always inspired me for wedding makeup is a super glowy/angelic look with bushy natural brows and voluminous lashes. I’m definitely a rustic/modern type of bride and will be having my wedding outdoors, which means my makeup has to be able to withstand the hot July sun!

I chose to try out false lashes because I know I won’t be able to wear mascara on my wedding date. Even if I don’t cry, my oily lids will smudge it off in 2 seconds!

I’m surprised how easy they were to put on and how comfortable they were. I wore them all day and I had no problem! I thought I’d be rubbing my eyes all day !!
