BEAUTY // HAIR EDIT // HOW TO: Get touchably soft hair

I've been getting a lot of questions about my hair routine, and thought I'd start sharing my favourite cleansing / conditioning products!

But first, a little about my hair!

Being of asian decent, I have very straight "asian" hair. I say "asian" straight because that means that my individual hair strands are quite thick and stubborn - so any type of curling or styling, usually doesn't hold, so if you have the same struggles, then definitely keep reading along :)

I also used to have a lot of hair (so my hair was quite voluminous), but recently my hair has become pretty thin and I have been trying to find new ways to stimulate growth and to create more volume in my hair styles. Plus, I recently coloured my hair so I've needed to keep my hair moisturized and nurtured constantly so I don't get split ends.

When looking for products to review - I thought that I'd try something on both spectrums of the price range so you all have more options to choose from! All the products I've tried are available on AMAZON.CA from the always conveniently accessible Garnier Whole Blends & the beautifully luxurious collection by Kérastase that is a cult favourite of many hair gurus.

This haircare combo is great at leaving my hair so soft and healthy that I can't stop touching it! Probably my favourite thing from this collection is the HAIR OIL! If you watched my Instagram Stories, then you would have seen how much I loved this product and how great it leaves my hair looking + feeling. It has been hard ever since coloring my hair to get that soft beachy feel back, but this shampoo, conditioner + hair oil has done wonders in bring that elasticity/ supple feeling back, plus Garnier's Whole Blend collection is Paraben Free + Natural Extracts - so its perfect for someone who has skin as sensitive as mine :) Plus, it's super affordable and so accessible - you can shop it HERE or at your local drugstore!

Now onto a haircare collection that I seriously cannot get enough of. I mean, first of all, look at how gorgeous the packaging is - talk about luxury in a bottle. Plus, I love how this collection has multiple steps that you can combine to customize depending on how your hair has been feeling. I usually start off with a full treatment every 2 weeks with the shampoo, conditioner, and the oil concentre essentiel. And in between these treatments, I'll simply use the shampoo and conditioner. When I use any type of heat styling tool like a curler or hairdryer, I'll spray oil essence d'eclat to protect from the heat and it helps with with controlling frizz! Plus it provides up to 48h of hair nutrition and 72h of frizz control! I am seriously in love with how these products leave my hair supply soft, and leave a perfect glow that highlights my balayage coloring.

Oh yes, and did I mention that Aura Botanica is composed of an average of 98% natural origin ingredients and the active ingredients are sourced from a responsible purchasing program. Also, another reason why I love this collection so much is because of its no silicones, no parabens, and no sulfates, which is perfect for my super sensitive skin.

* Plus I've added shoppable links on the images + throughout the blog post (anything italicized :))

I can't wait for you all to try this stuff out + feel free to message me or comment below if you have any questions!

I'll be sharing the rest of my hair routine in the weeks to come, so keep checking in.

xx
