Hi.

Welcome to Jess Undecided - a platform I've created to share all my loves + passions.

Jess Undecided originates from a whole lot of soul-searching the last couple years to find what I'm truly about, but what I've found is that you don't have to decide on just one thing to define who you are - you can be undecided

Can't wait for you all to start to explore all of my undecided loves - enjoy your stay!

LIFESTYLE // x AMAZON - Celebrating World Book Day

Hola lovelies!

I’m so humbled + honoured to celebrate World Book Day in partnership with Amazon!! Firstly, the bookworm in me is jumping for joy at the chance to be part of such an impactful day, and secondly, the extrovert in me is excited to share my love for reading with so many of my friends and our beautiful community!!

When I was younger, I was one of those kids that brought books to the restaurant and would be reading and reading … and reading until my parents had to tell me to get my nose out of my book because my food was getting cold. I know… I know now that my table manners needed improving, but sadly I catch myself doing a similar thing now with my iPhone!

Note to self: Jess – stop taking your phone out at meals … ok, ok - exceptions can be made for when the food is too pretty to eat …

Okay – real question, who wants to celebrate World Book Day with me?! I mean, celebrate with me in PERSON – not just via liking / commenting on my social media pictures (which I LOVE by the way, so keep ‘em coming!).

I’ll be at Boxcar Social in Toronto on April 20th at 2:30pm to share my love of reading + books at one of my favorite spots in the city!!

You can take a book. Leave a book. And keep the book loving world rotating with treasured writing + stories.

And yes, you didn’t read that wrong – you don’t have to buy a book to come hang out – Amazon is celebrating making reading accessible to all. I’m fan-girl-ing over how Amazon is making sure that socio-economic standing/income does not impact a person’s access to books, yes – my heart is melting too. I mean, everyone should have a chance to get lost in a book-world of their own!

Okay – now I’m going to share a list of my favorite books growing up + some of my favorite reads now … let me know if you loved the same, have suggestions, or just want to poke fun at me about some of the more embarrassing indulgences! Leave a comment below or on the Insta @jessundecided … or hey, just come say HIII on April 20th at Boxcar Social (Queens Quay) at 2:30pm!

1)    Harry Potter Series by J.K. Rowling … duh

2)    The Golden Compass Trilogy by Philip Pullman … the movie did NOT do these books JUSTICE!

3)    The Mortal Instruments Series by Cassandra Clare

… I have a thing for Fantasy Fiction Series … ok? Please don’t unfollow me :p

4)    A Wrinkle In Time Series by Madeleine L’Engle … such a classic series

5)    Origin of Species by Charles Darwin … I was a science major ok?! But seriously, such a informing read

6)    The Third Plate by Dan Barber … Then I studied Nutrition + Food, and this book will seriously open up your mind about being more conscious about what you eat + where your food comes from

7)    The Greenhouse Cookbook: Plant-Based Eating and DIY by Emma Knight … because hey, they are a Toronto-based company that has the most delicious juice, so why not imitate their tricks in the kitchen?!

8)    The Outsiders … movie + book, one of the few books made into a movie I love just as much

9)    Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging by Louise Rennison … if you haven’t heard of this book – READ IT because it is seriously hilarious with all the perfect teenage embarrassing anecdotes that will bring you back to those awkward teen flashbacks.

10) To Kill a Mockingbird … the only book I really loved on my high school reading list!
